 Great.
DESCRIPTION:AT VESPERS ON TUESDAY EVENING\n\nAt Psalm 140\n\nTone 4\n\nIf Y
ou mark iniquities\, Lord\, who can stand?* But with You forgiveness is th
at You may be revered.\n\nBeing meek of soul and heart\, when you were wou
nded with divine love* and submitted to withdraw from the tumults of life
through sacred ascents\,* then\, armed with the power of the Cross\,* you
advanced upon the demons waging battle\, O most blessed one\,* and fashion
ed for yourself a diadem of victory\;* and now you dwell in the splendours
of the saints.* With them ask for us enlightenment and peace\,* and deliv
erance from offenses.\n\nI have waited for You as You have commanded\; my
soul patiently relies on Your promise\,* for it has trusted in the Lord.\n
\nBeing meek of soul and heart\, when you were wounded with divine love* a
nd submitted to withdraw from the tumults of life through sacred ascents\,
 * then\, armed with the power of the Cross\,* you advanced upon the demons
waging battle\, O most blessed one\,* and fashioned for yourself a diadem
of victory\;* and now you dwell in the splendours of the saints.* With th
em ask for us enlightenment and peace\,* and deliverance from offenses.\n\
nFrom the morning watch until night* let Israel trust in the Lord.\n\nWith
the luminous beams of your healings* thou all-gloriously enlightened the
world\, O right glorious father\,* dispelling the most profound darkness o
f infirmities.* Wherefore\, we all acknowledge you to be another sun\,* th
e confirmation of monastics\, who by the divine Spirit guides those who ar
e saved.* And we now celebrate your radiant and saving memory\, O Hilarion
\,* receiving remission of transgressions through you.\n\nFor with the Lor
d there is mercy\, and with Him there is plentiful redemption\;* and He sh
all redeem Israel from all its iniquities.\n\nWith the luminous beams of y
our healings* thou all-gloriously enlightened the world\, O right glorious
father\,* dispelling the most profound darkness of infirmities.* Wherefor
e\, we all acknowledge you to be another sun\,* the confirmation of monast
ics\, who by the divine Spirit guides those who are saved.* And we now cel
ebrate your radiant and saving memory\, O Hilarion\,* receiving remission
of transgressions through you.\n\nPraise the Lord\, all the nations\;* pro
 claim His glory\, all you people.\n\nBy abstinence\, O father\,* you made
the carnal passions subject to your reason-endued soul\,* and\, adorned wi
th wings of dispassion\, O venerable one\,* you have received the grace to
heal\, to expel evils spirits and to save those who have recourse to you.
 * Wherefore\, the choirs of monastics bless you\, O right glorious one\,*
and all creation honours your struggles\, O Hilarion.\n\nStrong is the lov
e of the Lord for us\;* eternally will His truth endure.\n\nBy abstinence\
, O father\,* you made the carnal passions subject to your reason-endued s
 oul\,* and\, adorned with wings of dispassion\, O venerable one\,* you hav
e received the grace to heal\, to expel evils spirits and to save those wh
o have recourse to you.* Wherefore\, the choirs of monastics bless you\, O
right glorious one\,* and all creation honours your struggles\, O Hilario
n.\n\nTone 2\, Glory…\n\nBearing the wisdom of perfection from your yout
h\,* and taking upon yourself the yoke of Christ\, O Hilarion\,* you emula
 ted the life of the godly Anthony\, imitating his virtue in diverse ways\;
 * and you caused to wither up the flesh which leapt about like a colt\,* f
or it was needful that your soul tame it\, finishing the race of fasting.*
O most blessed father and miraculous God-bearer\,* ask cleansing and grea
t mercy for those who celebrate your memory with love.\n\nNow…\n\nBehold
ing You nailed to the tree of the Cross\, O Jesus\,* she who knew not wedl
ock said\, weeping:* O my sweet Child\, why have You left me alone who gav
e You birth?* O unapproachable Light of the all-unoriginate Father\,* make
haste and glorify Yourself\, that those who glorify Your divine suffering
s may receive divine glory!\n\nAposticha\n\nTone 4\n\nYou have given Your
Cross to us as an invincible weapon\, О Christ\;* and with it we triumph
over the assaults of the alien one.\n\nI have lifted up my eyes to You ent
hroned in heaven. Behold\, as the eyes of servants are on the hands of the
ir masters\, as the eyes of a maid are on the hands of her mistress\, so a
re our eyes on the Lord our God until He has mercy on us.\n\nEver possessi
ng Your Cross as a help\, О Christ\,* we easily trample underfoot the sna
res of the enemy.\n\nHave mercy on us\, O Lord\, have mercy on us\; for we
have been filled with shame\; our soul is all too full of the mockery of
the rich\, of the contempt of the proud.\n\nAs you have boldness before th
 e Saviour\, О saints\,* unceasingly pray for us sinners\,* asking remissi
on of transgressions and great mercy for our souls.\n\nTone 8\, Glory…\n
\nFilled with the Holy Spirit\, the venerable Hilarion set at nought the w
iles of the demons\;* for\, armed with the Cross\, and being of good cheer
therein\,* by his word he healed all sicknesses\, the passions of the sou
l and every bodily infirmity.* Through his supplications\, O Christ\, send
down peace upon us\,* for You love mankind.\n\nNow…\n\nThe unblemished
heifer\,* beholding her Bullock nailed to the Tree of His own will\,* crie
d out\, lamenting piteously:* Woe is me\, O most beloved Child!* How have
the thankless assembly of the Jews recompensed You\,* desiring to leave me
  bereft of You\, my Child\, O most Beloved?\n\nTroparia\n\nTone 8\n\nLike
the great Anthony you were the strength of monks\,* a model for the desert
-dwellers and a worker of miracles.* You are a source of help for people t
roubled by passion.* O father Hilarion\, pray for those who keep your holy
memory.\n\nGlory… Now…\n\nWhen the Mother beheld upon the cross* the
Lamb\, the Shepherd\, and the Saviour of the world\,* she exclaimed tearfu
lly:* The world rejoices at the sight of its redemption\,* but my heart is
afire as I see Your pain on the cross\,* which You accept for the sake of
all\, O my Son and my God!\n\nAT DIVINE LITURGY ON WEDNESDAY MORNING\n\nT
