DESCRIPTION:Polyeleos Feast. Post-feast of the Dormition\n\nAT GREAT VESPER
 S ON MONDAY EVENING\n\nAt Psalm 140\n\nTone 2\n\nOut of the depths I cry t
 o You\, O Lord\;* O Lord\, hear my voice!\n\nWith what unworthy lips shall
we bless the Theotokos\,* who is more honourable than creation* and more
holy than the cherubim and all the angels:* the immovable throne of the Ki
ng\,* the house wherein the Most High dwelt\,* the sanctuary of God\, the
salvation of the world\,* the one who richly bestows great mercy upon the
faithful* on the day of her divine memorial?\n\nLet Your ears be attentive
 * to the voice of my prayer.\n\nWith what unworthy lips shall we bless the
Theotokos\,* who is more honourable than creation* and more holy than the
cherubim and all the angels:* the immovable throne of the King\,* the hou
se wherein the Most High dwelt\,* the sanctuary of God\, the salvation of
the world\,* the one who richly bestows great mercy upon the faithful* on
the day of her divine memorial?\n\nIf You mark iniquities\, Lord\, who can
stand?* But with You forgiveness is that You may be revered.\n\nWhat spir
itual hymns shall we now offer to you\, O most holy one?* For by your immo
rtal dormition you have sanctified the whole world* and passed over to the
things which are above the world\,* to comprehend the beauty of the Almig
hty\,* and to rejoice in Him\, as His Mother\,* the ranks of angels and th
e souls of the righteous accompanying you.* With them ask for us peace and
great mercy.\n\nTone 2\n\nI have waited for You as You have commanded\; m
y soul patiently relies on Your promise\,* for it has trusted in the Lord.
\n\nThe Father\, with His Divine Son\, has made a dwelling place in their
beloved people\,* who kept the word of His truth and endured in faithfulne
ss.* The children of God in much-suffering Ukraine* feared neither torment
\, persecution\, nor cruel death.* And so upon them\, as if upon living fo
undation stones\,* the Sobor of the Resurrection rises up.\n\nFrom the mor
ning watch until night* let Israel trust in the Lord.\n\nThe Father\, with
His Divine Son\, has made a dwelling place in their beloved people\,* who
kept the word of His truth and endured in faithfulness.* The children of
God in much-suffering Ukraine* feared neither torment\, persecution\, nor
cruel death.* And so upon them\, as if upon living foundation stones\,* th
e Sobor of the Resurrection rises up.\n\nFor with the Lord there is mercy\
, and with Him there is plentiful redemption\;* and He shall redeem Israel
from all its iniquities.\n\nYou\, O Perfecter\, have transformed the soul
s of Your faithful friends* into a House of Wisdom and a temple of Your in
visible presence.* The temple of Your love is more formidable than walls o
f stone\,* established as it is within the human heart\, a living Holy of
Holies.* From it\, there blossomed forth the visible beauty* of the newly
raised Sobor of the Resurrection.\n\nPraise the Lord\, all the nations\;*
proclaim His glory\, all you people.\n\nYou\, O Perfecter\, have transform
ed the souls of Your faithful friends* into a House of Wisdom and a temple
of Your invisible presence.* The temple of Your love is more formidable t
han walls of stone\,* established as it is within the human heart\, a livi
ng Holy of Holies.* From it\, there blossomed forth the visible beauty* of
the newly raised Sobor of the Resurrection.\n\nStrong is the love of the
Lord for us\;* eternally will His truth endure.\n\nHow lovely is your dwel
ling place\, O Lord Sabaoth!* From of old the Ukrainian soul would huddle
to Your majestic and ancient temples\;* but\, in the midst of evil times\,
full of the darkness of hostile Godlessness* other temples faithfully sho
ne forth:* the village home\, the city room\,* in every place where living
torches of Your truth shone forth\,* raising thereby the Sobor of the Res
 urrection.\n\nTone 5\, Glory…\n\nCome from the west\, and the north\, an
d the sea\, and the east\,* from all over Ukraine – O faithful friends o
f the Lord\,* and let us behold the Church reborn.* Let the cathedral of o
ur souls shine forth\, as divinely radiant torches\,* within that cathedra
l which is built above Slavutych.* And so\, raised up in spirit by the Hol
 y Spirit\,* let us glorify Christ\, our Pascha\, to the ages!\n\nTone 4\,
Now…\n\nCome\, O you people\, let us hymn the all-holy and pure Virgin*
from whom the incarnate Word of the Father came forth ineffably\;* and let
us cry aloud\, saying:* Blessed are you among women\,* and blessed is the
womb which contained Christ!* Having surrendered your soul into His holy
 hands\, O all-pure one\,* entreat Him\, that our souls be saved.\n\nReadin
 gs\n\n(1) 1 Kings 8:22-23\, 27-30\; (2) Wisdom 7:21-8:4\; (3) Proverbs 9:1
-11\n\nAposticha\n\nTone 2\n\nRaise a hymn\, all you choirs of heaven!* Fo
r the Virgin Mother hasbeen all-gloriously translated* from earth to the h
eavens.\n\nArise\, O Lord\, into Your rest\,* You and the ark of Your holi
ness.\n\nThe choir of the disciples has assembled all-gloriously* from the
ends of the earth\,* to bury your divine and incorrupt body\, O Maiden.\n
\nThe Lord has sworn in truth to David\,* and He will not annul it.\n\nBe
lifted up\, O you gates of heaven\,* beholding the only Mother of God\,* t
he portal of the Most High coming to the highest.\n\nTone 2\, Glory… Now
…\n\nLet us chant today the hymn of David to Christ God\, O people:* The
virgins that follow after her\, said he\, shall be brought to the King\,*
and those near her shall be brought in gladness and rejoicing\;* for she
who is of the seed of David\, for whose sake we have been deified\,* is gl
oriously and ineffably placed in the hands of her Son and Master.* Hymning
her as the Mother of God\, let us cry aloud and say:* Save us\, who confe
ss you to be the Theotokos\,* from every evil circumstance\,* and deliver
our souls from misfortunes!\n\nTroparia\n\nTone 4\n\nAs the priceless beau
ty residing within the divine image of the tabernacle\,* thus outwardly yo
u manifested the holy glory of your temple O Lord.* Establish it for the a
ges of ages\, and accept\, through the prayers of the Theotokos\, our supp
lications\,* which we unceasingly offer to You\, O Life and Resurrection o
 f all.\n\nTone 1\, Glory… Now…\n\nIn giving birth you retained your vi
