 \, Podoben “O most lauded martyrs…” \n\nIf You mark iniquities\, 
 Lord\, who can stand?* But with You forgiveness is that You may be rev
 ered. \n\nO divinely wise and blessed one\,* with the dye of your blood
  you have brightened your sacred and divine vesture.* For piously have y
 ou gone from strength to strength and from glory to glory.* And now pray
  that peace and great mercy be given to our souls. \n\nI have waited for 
 You as You have commanded\; my soul patiently relies on Your promise\,* 
 for it has trusted in the Lord. \n\nYou offered to God the unbloody sacri
 fice\, as a most lawful priest\;* and later\, as a martyr most true\, yo
 u offered yourself to Christ with blood\,* as an acceptable sacrifice an
 d a whole burnt offering\,* O divinely eloquent and most honoured one.*
  Entreat Him on behalf of them that sing to you. \n\nFrom the morning wa
 tch until night* let Israel trust in the Lord. \n\nYou led legions of mar
 tyrs to Christ\, O father Anthimus\,* teaching and instructing by your do
 ctrines and instructions\,* and manifestly presenting yourself as an exa
 mple\, O divinely wise one.* You pray with them that peace and great mer

 cy\, and with Him there is plentiful redemption\;* and He shall redeem I

 ther Theoctistus\, the demons stood in awe of your patient abstinence\,*
  and they were set at naught by your unceasing supplications\, O most lau
 ded one\;* for you acquired Christ as a companion.* Beseech Him that p
 eace and great mercy* be given to our souls. \n\nStrong is the love of th
 e Lord for us\;* eternally will His truth endure. \n\nO father Theocti
 stus\, you were a dwelling place of God\;* for\, having preserved that w
 hich is in His image\,* proclaiming the truth by your life\,* you show
