\, Lord\, who can stand?* But with You forgiveness is that You may be reve
red.\n\nThe Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father\,* spoke through your
tongue of the advent of Christ* which would come to pass in later times t
o the restoration of creation:* And now\, beholding the fulfilment of what
was prophesied\,* we honour your memory\, O prophet.\n\nI have waited for
You as You have commanded\; my soul patiently relies on Your promise\,* f
or it has trusted in the Lord.\n\nEspousing our nature\, which had wilfull
y fallen away from You\, O You who loves mankind\,* You delivered it from
defilement\, joining it inseparably to Yourself* through union with You wh
ich passes understanding.* And Your prophet\, being an image of this\,* ch
astely took a former harlot as a wife.\n\nFrom the morning watch until nig

your utterances now filled with grace\,* standing before the God of all* p
ray for all who with faith celebrate your memory\,* asking for them forgiv
 eness of sins\,* peace\, and great mercy.\n\nTone 4\n\nFor with the Lord t
here is mercy\, and with Him there is plentiful redemption\;* and He shall
redeem Israel from all its iniquities.\n\nHaving cleaved to the Lord from
childhood\, O blessed one\,* you ran the course until the end\;* for\, ar
med with the Cross\, you set your hands* to the plough of the commandments
of the Lord\, as it is written.* Entreat Him that those who with faith ce
lebrate your most honoured memory* be delivered from corruption and misfor
tunes.\n\nPraise the Lord\, all the nations\;* proclaim His glory\, all yo
u people.\n\nThrough faith you became an all-precious stone without being
broken\;* for\, beaten and rolled upon the ground\, you made smooth the pa
th of faith\, O glorious one\,* rendering it easy of ascent\;* and you ove

, having suffered for them\, O glorious one\,* you were shown to be a teac
her of piety* and the adornment of martyrs.\n\nTone 4\, Glory… Now…\n\
nO all-pure one\, who contained in your womb the uncontainable God* who be
came man in His love for mankind\,* received from you our composition and
manifestly deified it:* disdain me not who am sorrowful\,* but quickly tak
e pity and free me from the manifold enmity and malice* of the evil one.\n

they whom You have chosen* and have taken to Yourself\, О Lord\,\n\nAll t
hings human\, which endure not after death\, are vain.* Our wealth will no
t remain\, our glory will not go with us upon the way:* for when death com
es\, all these things will fade away.* Therefore let us cry to Christ the
immortal King:* Grant rest to our departed brethren* and grant them to dwe
ll with the joyous.\n\nTheir souls shall dwell* amid good things.\n\nO rac
e of mankind\, why do you trouble yourself in vain?* The path on which you
run is short.* Our life is but smoke\, vapour\, ashes and dust\;* it appe
ars but briefly\, and then vanishes.* Therefore let us cry to Christ the i
mmortal King:* Grant rest to our departed brethren* and grant them to dwel
 l with the joyous.\n\nTone 3\, Glory… Now…\n\nO Theotokos\, holy among

 ed you\, O memorable Andrew\,* O venerable and truly blessed martyr.\n\nNo
w…\n\nO Mother of God\, the mystery hidden from all eternity* and unknow
n even to the angels\,* was revealed through you to those on earth:* God t
