Out of the depths I cry to You, O Lord;* O Lord, hear my voice!

Because of your spiritual inheritance you were named Panteleimon.* By lovingly caring for the souls of all men and healing their bodies,* you were shown to be worthy of the wealth of your name.* By acquiring the reward of virtue and retribution of piety, O martyr,* you were revealed as a crown-bearing and invincible warrior of Christ our God.* Implore Him to save and enlighten our souls.

Let Your ears be attentive* to the voice of my prayer.

If You mark iniquities, Lord, who can stand?* But with You forgiveness is that You may be revered.

I have waited for You as You have commanded; my soul patiently relies on Your promise,* for it has trusted in the Lord.

You unceasingly drew the grace of divine healing* from the spiritual fountains of the Saviour,* abundantly pouring them out upon those who came to you, blessed one!* Illumine by your divine grace* those who in faith keep your glorious, all-holy and light-bearing feast.

Strong is the love of the Lord for us;* eternally will His truth endure.

You rejected the temptation of your father, all-glorious one,* and earnestly accepted the words of your mother.* According to the instructions of the Lord* you bore fruits greater than gold.* You revealed yourself as a worthy physician glorious martyr Panteleimon.* Walking on the way of grace* you found an infant lying poisoned beneath a venomous serpent.* By your fervent prayer to God you resurrected him,* tearing the serpent in sunder!* Therefore, remember us who keep your memorial in faith,* that we may obtain mercy on the day of judgment.

Tone 6, Glory…

Now…

Who would not call you blessed, O Virgin most holy?* Who would not sing a hymn of praise* to the glory of your giving birth without pain or travail?* The Only-begotten Son Himself,* begotten of the Father before all ages,* was made flesh out of you in a manner* that cannot be explained, O Woman most pure!* And for our sake, He Who is God by nature* assumed the nature of a man.* He is not divided into two persons;* He is understood to have two natures* without commixion or confusion.* O noble and blessed Woman,* intercede with Him that He may mercy on our souls.

Ikos

O you who love Christ, let us piously hymn the memory of the unmercenary one, the valiant athlete, the faithful healer, that we may receive mercy though, like me, we have defiled our bodily temples; for He grants healing to soul and body, O beloved. Therefore, let us strive, O faithful, to have in our hearts the strength of Him who delivers from deceit those who cry: Save us, O Lord!

Ode 7

Irmos: The all-wise children did not worship the golden body,* but entered into the flame themselves and mocked the gods of the heathen.* They cried aloud in the midst of the flame, and the Angel bedewed them, saying:* The prayer of your mouths has already been heard.

O holy Great-Martyr and Healer Panteleimon, pray to God for us!

You suffered lawfully, and, having conquered the foe, have become a calm haven for those who are tempest-tossed upon the sea, O glorious one; and, being a light to those who are in the darkness of this life, you have taught us to sing: Blessed is the God of our fathers!

O holy Great-Martyr and Healer Panteleimon, pray to God for us!

Blessed are you, and well is it now with you, O most blessed one, who has received your most rich and blessed hope, that which has been prepared for those who cry out to the Lord in faith: Blessed is the God of our fathers!

O holy Great-Martyr and Healer Panteleimon, pray to God for us!

The souls of the saints, the choirs of the righteous and the angelic ranks of the bodiless hosts have received you into their number, O blessed one. For, having been beheaded with a sword, you sing, rejoicing: Blessed is the God of our fathers!

The weapon which beforehand protected us away from the Tree of Life is now withdrawn, marked with the Blood which flowed from the side of your Son, O all-immaculate one. Blessed are you who gave birth to God in the flesh!

O most holy Theotokos, save us!

We know you to be a ray of the Source of immortality, O Theotokos, for you gave birth to the immortal Word of the Father, who delivers from death all that exalt Him supremely forever.

We praise, we bless, we worship the Lord. We extol and exalt Him above all for ever.

Ode 9

Irmos: God the Lord, the Son of the unoriginate Father,* has revealed Himself to us incarnate of the Virgin,* to enlighten those in darkness and to gather the dispersed.* Therefore, we magnify the all-hymned Theotokos.

O holy Great-Martyr and Healer Panteleimon, pray to God for us!

Rejoicing, you passed on to your ultimate desire, where, having made your abode, O most blessed one, you were truly vouchsafed to receive a blessed end, being with your Master for endless ages.

O holy Great-Martyr and Healer Panteleimon, pray to God for us!

You received your desire and the fulfilment of your love which yet sheds drops of your warm blood which was shed for Christ. And rejoicing, you ahve received crowns from Him for your struggles.

O holy Great-Martyr and Healer Panteleimon, pray to God for us!

Like Daniel of old, you shut the mouths of the lions and the jaws of wild beasts; for even irrational nature knows enough to stand in awe of virtue, O martyr. Therefore, assembling, we bless you, O most glorious one.

O holy Great-Martyr and Healer Panteleimon, pray to God for us!

Christ grants abundant goodness, bestowing upon us a treasury of healing in you and giving you, who are most merciful of intent, to all that sorrow as a calm haven, and intercessor and protector.

O most holy Theotokos, save us!

Like the fleece, O all-immaculate one, you bore the Rain of heaven, having conceived in your womb Him who grants peace to those who chant to Him as God and proclaim you to be the all-hymned Theotokos.

Katavasia: Let every mortal born on earth,* radiant with light, in spirit leap for joy;* and let the host of the angelic powers* celebrate and honour the holy feast of the Mother of God,* and let them cry:* Rejoice! Pure and blessed Ever-Virgin, who gave birth to God.

Praise Him for His powerful deeds,* praise His surpassing greatness.

The working of the providence of the Most High was radiantly shown forth upon you;* for, manifestly taught to heal bodily sufferings, O Panteleimon,* you have been found to be an exemplary physician of souls,* healing all with the word of grace, and delivering from dark deceit* those who have recourse to you.
